The New York Yankees (64-50) and St. Louis Cardinals (56-58) wrap up their three-game series in the Bronx tonight at 7:05 p.m. ET. The Yankees look to capture the rubber contest after blanking the Redbirds last night, 2-0.
We’ll break down two side plays for the Wednesday action. Remember to monitor the odds throughout the day, as the props, sides, and totals market are constantly changing.

Best MLB plays today
- White Sox (+104) at Red Sox
- Twins (+102) at Royals
White Sox (+104) at Red Sox - 7:10 p.m. ET
It seems like a tall task to knock off the Red Sox, who have won 32 of their last 40 games. Boston routed Chicago in the series opener at Fenway Park last night, 14-2 to extend its hot streak to six games.
Chicago looks to knock off Boston for the first time in five tries tonight with right-hander Sean Burke on the mound. Burke posted 10 strikeouts in each of his last two starts against the Astros and Yankees, while the White Sox are 6-1 in his past seven outings.
Sonny Gray has put together a terrific campaign in his first season with Boston, owning a 13-2 record and 2.93 ERA. However, the Red Sox are 3-3 in his previous six starts at Fenway Park, while giving up nine earned runs in his last two appearances.
Burke has been Chicago’s most consistent starter recently and has the best shot of slowing down this Boston machine tonight.
Twins (+102) at Royals - 7:40 p.m. ET
The last time Royals left-hander Noah Cameron faced the Twins at Target Field on July 30, he tossed eight scoreless innings. The only problem is Kansas City was within one out of pitching the shutout, but the bullpen allowed a walk-off grand slam in a 4-3 setback.
Kansas City captured the opener against Minnesota last night, 8-2 to improve to 7-4 in the season series. The Twins look to not only break through against the Royals, but also against Cameron, who has allowed one earned run in 19 innings when facing Minnesota.
After winning five of six to close July, the Twins are seeking their first August victory in four tries. Former Orioles’ right-hander Dean Kremer makes his Minnesota debut tonight, who yielded eight runs at Detroit in his final start with Baltimore.
The Twins are 6-2 in their last eight games after dropping the series opener. After picking up one hit against Cameron last week, look for Minnesota’s bats to solve the left-hander and end its three-game slide tonight.
